And here are some pictures from the weekend!
Wyatt, Mia and Nike landed at Terminal 2 at 10:30 Christmas morning. When we got to Mom's we made a GIANT breakfast of eggs, sausage and waffles.
After cleaning the Kitchen, with the aid of big helper Mia, we moved to the living room for gift opening. All faired well, but what a treat to watch a 3 year old open Christmas gifts.
We spent the afternoon watching Mia play with her gifts and then about 5, we ate dinner! We were all bursting at the seams. Thanks Mom for a great meal!
On Monday, Wyatt sequestered himself to the garage giving my mom's car an overhaul. New breaks, an oil change and new wiper blade - oh yeah and a car wash. And he had perfect weather for it too! 50 degrees in December! Who knew....
I arrived at Moms about noon, just enough time to watch Mia play some more. Barb got off of work early, so she came over to Mom's also!
About 4pm, I took off and headed back to Minneapolis to pick up Rob and bring him back to Mom's to meet the whole family! We had meatloaf, veggies and then some Indonesian cookies for dessert! Nummy!!!
As I was leaving for the night, Mia screams out: "I love you...I LOVE YOU MUCH!"
Heart melting right!!!
As for rest of the week: Mom has Wednesday and Thursday off this week, so she'll get more Grandma time. I have Wednesday afternoon off and Barb is playing it by ear - hoping to get more time in with Mia and Nike before they head home on Thursday. (Wyatt left this morning.)
Overall - the weekend went VERY well - and we're looking forward to the new year!
